GUEST SPOT @ THE REINSTITUTE is an independent gallery, a residency, a home, and a School for Innovation and Self-Accreditation in the Arts and Sciences, all based in a rowhouse on N. As a home, independent gallery, residency, and school for self-accreditation, GUEST SPOT @ THE REINSTITUTE explores and champions new methods of sustaining the livelihood of artists, scholars, and others with creativ

e pursuits. Our focus aligns with self-organized initiatives that are non-hierarchical and conduct their decision-making processes along the lines of open participatory models, promoting the solidarity of the artist practice.

We resume our standard gallery hours on Friday, January 5th.

THE REINSTITUTE RESEARCH ARCHIVE & LIBRARY operates as a record of affects and histories surrounding research based artist’s practices. The archive will provide a breadth of resources, as we continue an active dialogue regarding empirical and theoretical approaches to the Self-Organized - as a site for counter-narratives of resistance and solidarity.

GUEST SPOT @ THE REINSTITUTE explores and champions new methods of sustaining livelihoods of artists, scholars, and other creatives through solidarity practices and Self-Organized Initiatives. Our approach examines hierarchical influence, prioritizing an Open Participatory model of peer decision-making, and promoting solidarity as an artistic principle.
