We buy books for cash or store credit for many books, and store credit for most books. We don't take sex manuals, encyclopedias, really old books, or most textbooks. You may bring in your books during regular business. No appointment is necessary if you're bringing in books, but if you need help bringing them in, or have a lot, then you're encouraged to call ahead or make an appointment. We select
books, among other things, based on condition, desirably, how well similar books have sold in the past, and what we currently have in stock. Condition is the most important factor. We pride ourselves on the condition of our books, so they must be like new or gently used for us to consider selling them. (A gently used book might have some wear and tear, but it shouldn't have ripped or torn pages, have mildew or water stains, or fall apart when you pick it up.) We generally pay 20-30% in store credit of our price. Books listed on the website or Google Docs list get more in store credit and/or a free gift certificate, but we do take books not listed on there. If w do not take your books, we ask that you take them with you. It normally takes 10-20 minutes to assess books. You're free to wander around and browse while we assess your books, or go to Baskin Robbins or Taco Bell for a couple minutes. You can use 100% of the store credit for books, or 25% for the non-book items.
