Remember, on Monday, Friday, and Saturday, we have food samples so you can have a flavor of what our ancestors enjoyed during the Colonial period.
Everyday during the summer, you can pick up a list of 40 different items around the museum that were used by American Colonists. We would to have you stop by and share our Nation's past with you.

We would like to wish everyone a happy 4th of July! Museum will be open today 10:00 AM-4:00PM.

A Glorious Fourth, Rain or Shine!

It's the season of pop-up storms and hot weather, but the Aurora Ledyard Historical Society assures you that this weekend’s local events are planned with that in mind.

The Reading of the Declaration of Independence at 11 a.m. on July 4 at the Ledyard Town Hall is ready to move indoors if needed. There will be cold beverages and seating; it will be a comfortable as well as festive and meaningful occasion, so don't hesitate to come.

On both July 4th and 5th, from noon to 3 p.m., The Press of Roberts LoMascolo will be open for you to print your own copy of the Declaration of Independence (on a press like Ben Franklin’s!) and practice writing with a quill pen. It’s a great time for family and guests in his spacious porch and breezy studio. (The printing is funded in part by NYS 250th in Cayuga County and the New York State Education Department.)

All surrounding communities and visitors of all ages are invited to attend!
