Adam Bradley’s large figures are constructed from steel, wood and ceramic. These materials are flawlessly welded, cut and formed to create a very gestural figure. The surfaces left rough gives the characters a sense of twitching and tension. The smaller figures are cast bronze using the traditional lost wax technique. In all of his creations including the smaller ceramic pieces, Adam deliberately leaves marks made by the tools to incorporate the mark making and immediacy of drawing into his sculptures. ‘Pulled by Fate’.
