A judge issued a decision in a hearing Friday where David Leonard Wood's attorney requested testing on evidence from the 1987 serial killings.

Wood, who is 69 years old, is one of the oldest death row inmates. He was convicted of capital murder in 1992 for the deaths of six young girls and women whose bodies were dumped in the desert area of Northeast El Paso in 1987.

🚨BREAKING: Governor DeSantis just signed the death warrant for the so-called "Hog Trail Killer." Daniel Conahan Jr. murdered Richard Montgomery in the woods in Charlotte County in 1996. Montgomery was found a day later, wrapped in a carpet with his ge****ls removed. Conahan, who is now 72 years old, was suspected in the murders of 5 other people between 1993 and 1996, but he was never charged in those deaths. Governor DeSantis has already signed 15 death warrants this year, after Florida executed 19 inmates last year, a modern-era record. Conahan's ex*****on is set for September 10th.
