We are happy to announce that Sara-Vide Ericson will host the Swedish radio programme ’Sommar’ on Friday July 24!
From the press release: The artist talks about devoting herself entirely to painting. She has made a name for herself with her large, figurative oil paintings that explore landscapes, nature and identity, often in her native region of Hälsingland, Sweden. Sara-Vide Ericson is described as one of the Nordic region’s most important innovators in painting and often creates art from staged scenes and her own bodily memories. She has exhibited all over the world and is currently presenting her largest solo exhibition to date at Norrköpings konstmuseum, as well as a solo exhibition entitled ‘Drift’ at Liljevalchs+ in Stockholm this autumn.
–There’s no sketch. You don’t sketch a s**g. You’re there and then, and you give it your all. That’s the painting. I think painting came to me because I needed to affirm something, prove that something was real and capture it for posterity.

Lisa Jonasson’s exhibition ’Andra andningen / Second Breath’ is on view in the inner room of the gallery until June 27. It presents a series of screen prints and sculptures cast in aluminium.

”In the autumn of 2025, I was restless because of the state of the world. My angry energy wasn’t suited to studio work but worked well for the metal foundry and the printmaking workshop. In recent years, I have been cutting out silhouettes, tiny little pieces that have been assembled into collages. Now I used a larger pair of scissors to cut out coarser silhouette figures in black, which I pasted together into positive originals that were then photographically transferred onto the screen frames. In the workshop, one image has led to another. To my surprise, the images turned out archaic, simple and open. Although I have spent many years working with my own inner visual world, the outside world is strongly present, now and always. In images, as in other languages, it is only what is shared that is viable.”

We are delighted to present Bella Rune’s third solo exhibition at the gallery. ’Planet’ features new works that criss-cross between two and three dimensions in sculptures, objects and works on paper.

In the wall-mounted sculpture ’De enkla maskinerna / The Simple Machines’, a checkered image is literally balanced by weights and ropes, creating a shifting motif in motion.

The exhibition runs until June 27.
