Emel Tunaboylu is an artist born and raised in Istanbul, now based in the Aegean region. With a background in communication, she later pursued her passion for art through various programmes in oil painting and drawing, and continued her studies at ITU Fine Arts University.

Inspired by nature, music, and philosophy, Emel identifies strongly with a Mediterranean sensibility. Her work reflects the region’s warmth, rhythm, and lifestyle—capturing its distinctive atmosphere and timeless aesthetic.

She approaches her practice with great care and dedication, guided by a deep belief in art’s ability to enhance joy, connection, and everyday life.

Meet one of Pictufy’s hidden gems- Karen Menzenbach - an artist with a deep passion for colors, patterns, and all things botanical. She discovered her love for patterns and botanical illustration while studying interior design in Germany. Her work is defined by a playful combination of colors, shapes, and structures, brought together through an intuitive and hands-on creative process.

Karen particularly enjoys working with traditional techniques, creating analogue art using watercolor, acrylic, and gouache. In addition, she creates contemporary poster designs that incorporate text, adding a graphic and modern dimension to her practice.

Now based in the Mediterranean, Karen draws inspiration from the landscapes and old towns of Mallorca, as well as from her road trips across Europe in her campervan. Her work is driven by a desire to bring beauty into everyday spaces—always with the aim of making the world a little more beautiful.
