Maligayang Kaarawan kay Dr. Jose Rizal. Ating balikan ang nakaraan. Masdan ang nga larawan noong 1990s at early 2000s ng ating Plaza Makabayan kung saan naroroon ang bantayog ng pambansang bayani. Ang mga larawan ay mula sa Cavite Studies Center.

Kaisa ang Silang Historical Society sa pagdiriwang ng ika-165 taong kapanganakan ni Dr. Jose Rizal sa Plaza Libertad, Silang kasama ang Knights of Rizal Silang Chapter at ang panauhing pandangal, Mayor Gen Ted Carranza kaninang umaga. Kasabay nito ang paghahandog ng busto ng pambansang bayani sa Aklatang Bayan na handog nina Sir Gary Kennedy, KGCR Sir Andy Paredes, KCR, Sir Manneth Manoy, KCR, Sir Boy Sandejas, KCR, Sir Lito Javier, KOR at Sir Mandy Pitel, KOR kasama ng koleksyong Rizaliana ng aklatan mula kay SHS President Phillip Medina para sa pag-aaral sa buhay at kabayanihan ni Dr. Jose Rizal. Dinaluhan ng mga opisyales ng KOR at SHS ang pag-aalis ng tabing sa busto.

PAGGUNITA SA IKA-165 KAARAWAN NG KAPANGANAKAN NI DR. JOSE P. RIZAL

Nakiisa ang Silang Historical Society sa naturang pagdiriwang na pinangunahan ng Knights Of Rizal Silang Chapter sa Plaza Libertad. Isinagawa din ang paglalantad sa bagong Rizal Bust sa Municipal Library na ipinagkaloob ng Knights Of Rizal Silang Chapter.

Atin pong ibalik ang pagmamahal natin sa ating bayan.

CATALINO JAVIER BATACLAN
Rebolusyonaryo

Si Catalino Javier Bataclan ay anak nina Ciriaco Bataclan at Liceria Javier. Siya ay kapatid nina Isabel, Jacinto, Idang, Macaria, at Gil. Ang kanilang pamilya ay naninirahan noon sa Cabeceria Bilang 7 sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Cabesang Juan Loyola.
Sa panahon ng Rebolusyon noong 1896, kabilang si Catalino Bataclan sa mga nakisangkot upang ipagtanggol ang bayan ng Silang bilang isa sa mga Sundalo ng Infanteria ng Rebolusyonaryong taga-Silang.
Matapos ang panahon ng pananakop ng mga Kastila at sa ilalim ng pamamahala ng mga Amerikano, ikinasal si Catalino kay Margarita Amodente. Pinag-isang dibdib sila ni Padre Lino Cajili sa Simbahan ng Silang noong Setyembre 6, 1900, na sinaksihan nina Lino Velazco at Juana Amodente.
Sina Catalino at Margarita ay kapwa naninirahan sa Lucsuhin, na noon ay nasa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Cabesa Saturnino Belarmino. Sila ay biniyayaan ng mga anak na sina Eusebio, Gregorio, Basilio, Juana, Francisca, Julia, at Cipriana.
Naging matagumpay si Catalino Bataclan bilang isang agricultor sa Silang at naging abala sa pag-aasikaso ng kanilang mga lupain. Ang kanilang tahanan ay nagsilbing silid-aralan ng mga mag-aaral mula sa kanilang nayon at sa mga karatig na nayon.

Pasasalamat po sa mga kaanak na nakadalo sa araw ng pagpaparangal kay Ginoong Catalino Bataclan.

Pinarangalan ng Kapisanang Pangkasaysayan ng Silang at ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Silang ang dalawang mga Bayaning Rebolusyonaryo na sina 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐄𝐬𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐜𝐨 at 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐧, na kapwa nakipaglaban noong Panahon ng Himagsikan laban sa mga Kastila. Gayundin, isa rin sa mga pinarangalan ang Makata at Lingkod Bayan na si 𝐆. 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬.

Tinanggap ng mga pamilya ang pagkilala sa kanilang ninuno na nagsilbing inspirasyon sa nakakarami.

Pinagkalooban ng SHS Officer Service Pin si Ma’am Cristina Austria para sa kanyang paglilingkod ng tatlong taon bilang Ingat-Yaman ng Kapisanan. Maraming Salamat po ma’am sa inyong serbisyo at pagmamahal sa Kasaysayan ng ating Bayang Silang.

Ang pin ay simbolong ginagawad sa mga outgoing officials ng SHS. Bigkis sa letrang O ang dalawang borlas ng Kasaysayan at Kalinangan na mandato ng Kapisanan.

Gen. Vito Belarmino Integrated National High School proudly joined the celebration of the 169th Birth Anniversary of General Vito Belarmino on June 15, 2026, at Plaza Makabayan, Barangay Poblacion V, Silang, Cavite.

Led by School Principal Ma'am Rosalia B. Anacay, together with the Department Heads, faculty members, and students, GVBINHS paid tribute to its distinguished namesake through active participation in the commemorative program. Highlights of the event included the floral offering, the rendition of the Philippine National Anthem and opening prayer by the GVBINHS Harmonic Chorale, and a moving spoken poetry presentation by the Grade 12 student honoring the life and legacy of General Vito Belarmino.

As we celebrate the remarkable contributions of this revolutionary hero, may his unwavering courage, patriotism, and dedication to the Filipino people continue to inspire future generations.

Mensahe ng suporta para sa kasaysayang lokal ng ating bayan mula sa Punongbayan ng Silang

History lives on through the stories we choose to preserve, and through this publication, we are given the privilege of honoring one of the proud sons of Silang, Heneral Vito Belarmino: Ang Dakilang Anak ng Silang. This book is a fitting tribute to a man whose life of courage, patriotism, and service remains an enduring source of inspiration for our municipality and our nation.

Through your efforts, the story of one of Silang's distinguished sons will continue to educate, inspire, and instill pride among our fellow Silangueños, especially the youth who will one day carry forward the legacy of our community.
