A special ₱10 commemorative coin was formally received by our Curator, Sir Genesis Diloy, for the CvSU Historical and Cultural Museum.

Donated by Mr. Melbert N. Molina, this unique coin features a QR code on its reverse. Issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), this limited-edition commemorative coin marks the Philippines' chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). When scanned using a smartphone, the QR code directs users to the BSP website, where visitors can access official information about the Philippines' hosting of the ASEAN Summit.

The CvSU Historical and Cultural Museum sincerely thanks Mr. Melbert N. Molina for this meaningful donation, which further enriches the museum's growing numismatic collection.

Nakikiisa ang CvSU Historical and Cultural Museum sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Kasaysayan 2026, sa pangunguna ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), na may temang:

"Hinubog ng Bayan, Dinuyan ng Alon."

🌊 Bawat alon ay may kuwento. Bawat Pilipino ay kabahagi.

Mula sa ating mga baybayin hanggang sa iba't ibang panig ng daigdig, ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas ay salaysay ng isang bansang umunlad sa pamamagitan ng paglalayag, pakikipagkalakalan, ugnayang pandaigdig, at katatagan ng sambayanang Pilipino. Ang ating mga karagatan ay nagsilbing tulay sa pagpapalitan ng kultura, kaalaman, at kabuhayan, gayundin sa paghubog ng pagkakakilanlan ng milyun-milyong Pilipinong nagtatag ng mga pamayanang Pilipino sa ibayong-dagat.

⚓ Ngayong Buwan ng Kasaysayan 2026, samahan ang NHCP sa paglalayag sa temang "𝗛𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻." Sama-sama nating tuklasin ang mga kuwentong nagbuklod sa ating kapuluan at nag-ugnay sa Pilipinas sa daigdig. A pleasant surprise visit from Gregorio "Gary" Umali, an Indang-born artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand, together with Dr. Mylene Legazpi. We had a meaningful exchange of ideas and are excited about a potential collaboration to promote art, history, and culture. Stay tuned for what's ahead!

Ang Gusali ng Indang Intermediate School

Background:
Ang gusali ng Indang Farm School ay itinayo alinsunod sa Batas Blg. 1275, na mas kilala bilang Congressional Relief Fund of 1904. Sa ilalim ng batas na ito, inilaan ang halagang ₱8,000 para sa pagpapatayo ng gusali ng Indang Intermediate School. Bagama't natapos lamang ang gusali noong 1906, ipinakikita ng Batas Blg. 1275 na mayroon nang kinikilalang Intermediate School sa Indang noong 1904, na nagpapatunay na naitatag na ang paaralan bago pa man makumpleto ang permanenteng gusali nito.
