These occasions are often ceremonial, with well-laundered white tablecloths, cloth napkins, silverware, and porcelain carefully arranged for each member of the household. Courses brought from the kitchen are placed on the ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ด๐ข ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข or the ๐ต๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐ค๐ฉ๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ, which holds the family's silverware and often features a mirror that helps brighten and enlarge the room.
Often facing a river or garden and conveniently located near the kitchen, the ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ณ remains cool and inviting throughout the day. Tall glass-paneled cabinets display fine porcelain and glassware, while Limoges plates are taken out and hung on the walls to greet the guest with pastel bouquets of ripening fruits and plump pheasants. A chandelier hangs above the long Narra dining table, its light reflecting on the polished surface below. Completing the scene are Comedor chairs inspired by the Spanish Renaissance style, distinguished by their carved crest and spiral Salomonic columns. Together, these furnishings reflect the elegance and importance of dining in the traditional Filipino home.
