Created exclusively for Xavier Artfest 2K25, Stitched Stallion pays tribute to Xavier School’s enduring symbol, the stallion. Rachelle Cu .art reimagines the iconic figure of the horse through the language of texture, using oil paint to mimic the intricate weave of thread. The work balances strength and softness, discipline and creativity qualities that reflect both the artist’s practice and the true Xaverian spirit.
Cu’s piece captures movement within stillness, expressing how tradition and innovation can exist in harmony. This one-of-a-kind artwork, made especially for the Xavier community, will be auctioned during the Artfest, with proceeds benefiting Para Kay Cher (support for retired teachers) and the XSETF (Xavier School scholarship fund).
