Glenn Cagandahan (b. 1977, Paete, Laguna) is a Filipino sculptor known for his imaginative interpretations of Filipino folk life and rural traditions. Coming from a family of woodcarvers, he learned the craft from his grandfather, Isaac Cagandahan, before earning a degree in Sculpture from the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts. His works portray familiar Filipino subjects, including lovers, farmers, guitar players, families, and carabao and horse riders, combining traditional cultural imagery with contemporary sculptural forms.
Cagandahan is recognized for experimenting with diverse materials, ranging from wood, metal, and stone to epoxy clay, resin, and fiberglass. His innovative approach has earned him several distinctions from the Art Association of the Philippines, including Second Prize in Sculpture in 2006. Beyond his artistic practice, he teaches at the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos, continuing to contribute to Philippine sculpture by blending cultural heritage with modern techniques and creative expression.
