𝗔𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼, 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

Today, August 21, we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day to remember the life and bravery of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. His assassination in 1983 became a turning point in Philippine history that led to the events of the 1986 People Power Revolution.

We at Bahay Modernismo, remember Ninoy through a place that was once home to the Aquino family.

The museum is a reconstruction of the Aquinos’ former residence at 25 Times Street, a split-level bungalow rebuilt using some original architectural fragments. The house reflects the symbolic shift towards postwar modernism and the changing ways Filipinos lived in mid-century Quezon City.

Together, let us remember the life and contributions of Ninoy Aquino to democracy and the Filipino people.
