INC HERITAGE SITE IN SAN JUAN RECOGNIZED

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines inaugurated on July 29, 2026, the historical marker of the old Central Office of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in San Juan, Metro Manila. The unveiling of the marker is a significant milestone in the rich history of the Church which celebrated its 112th anniversary last July 27.

The unveiling ceremony was led by the NHCP Chairman Regalado Trota Jose, Jr., together with INC Deputy Executive Minister Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo. Witnessing the occasion were NHCP Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo and INC General Secretary Brother Rene J. Panoncillo.

The former three-story structure—designed by Juan Nakpil, the first National Artist for Architecture—was built in 1950 (after World War II). It served as the former INC Central Office, where the Office of the First Executive Minister is located, and also served as the residence of Brother Felix Manalo and his household.

Among the important sites within the complex which were also acknowledged and recognized in the historical marker are the house of worship of the then Locale Congregation of Riverside (now F. Manalo-San Juan) completed in 1952, and the mausoleum in 1963.

This historical event also coincides with the Church's commemoration of Brother Felix Manalo's 140th birth anniversary.
