In coordination with Fe Del Mundo Medical Center and PhilHealth’s YAKAP, we are hosting a day of FREE Medical Consultations, Basic Laboratory, and Medicine! This is open to the community to help everyone stay proactive about their health.

👨‍⚕️ FREE SERVICES OFFERED:
✅ Medical Consultations ✅ Preventive Health Services / Basic Laboratory (Note: All laboratory services such as CBC, Urinalysis, Lipid Profile, FBS, ECG, etc., are subject to a physician's request).

✅ Free Medicines & Vitamins We will also be providing UNILAB products and vitamins! (Up to a 1-month supply of medicine per transaction, subject to availability and physician's request).

🌿 For those who wish to take refuge, Khenpo Rigzin will conduct a Refuge Ceremony at 9:45 AM.
Participants in the refuge ceremony will be given a certificate afterward.

A meaningful and blessed Vesak 2026 celebration 🌕✨

The day began with everyone gathering in the morning for the Smoke Fire Puja and Mahakala Puja, led by Khenpo Rigzin. Participants first paid homage to Sakyamuni Buddha on the 3rd floor, where the sacred Relic of the Buddha is enshrined.

Following the puja, participants engaged in a heartfelt activity of creating their own oil lamp candles to bring home—symbolizing light, wisdom, and offering. Each participant also received a preserved bodhi leaf as a souvenir, while new participants were welcomed with mala beads as a symbol of their spiritual journey.

During the celebration, everyone was given the opportunity to take part in the Bathing of the Buddha ritual, where they gently poured water over the image of the infant Buddha—an act symbolizing the purification of the mind and the washing away of unwholesome actions.

In the afternoon, the UWFI Buddhist Youth warmly welcomed its new members at the meditation area, sharing reflections and building connections within the community.

Participants then gathered for the Lay Recitation of the Veneration of the 28 Past Buddhas, led by Ruwan Espinoza Weerakkody, deepening their devotion and understanding of the Buddha lineage.

As evening fell, everyone assembled at the basement for the Vesakha Puja led by Tan Ratthapalo, which beautifully concluded the day with circumambulation and final blessings.

May the light of the Buddha guide us all on the path of wisdom, compassion, and peace.

Hello Everyone!

We invite you to join us on May 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM (Sunday) for a Chenrezig Sadhana led by Khenpo Rigzin.

Chenrezig (also known as Avalokiteshvara) is the Bodhisattva of Compassion. This practice is a beautiful and powerful way to cultivate lovingkindness, compassion, and bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment). Through visualization, mantra recitation (Om Mani Padme Hum), and meditation, we connect with Chenrezig's boundless compassion and generate these qualities within ourselves. It's a practice that brings peace and healing and helps us alleviate suffering in the world.
