🌿 Three artists. Three ways of remembering.
In The Garden of Us, Jael Laura, Ron Mariñas, and Natasha Juliano consider the ways memory lives beyond conscious recollection. Memories can dwell within our bodies, relationships, objects, and choices.

The three artists present a body of work that imagines the body as a garden: a place where experiences are planted, relationships take root, and memory continues to grow.

The Garden of Us opens on October 3, 2026 and will run until January 9, 2027 at Orange Project Art District, Lopue's Annex Building, Lacson St, Bacolod, Negros Occidental

Describing “Bangi” as “the last serving, perhaps, but never the least,” Oly de los Santos reflects on art in the senior years of her brother—a culmination of a life lived and a practice sustained through decades of making.

This October, Orange Project presents Bangi, a solo exhibition by Bernie Sason.

In Kapampangan, “bangi” refers to the burnt rice that settles at the bottom of the pot—the last to be served, often saved for the family and savored with the final scraps of soup or sauce. For Sason, it becomes a fitting metaphor for art in his senior years.

At eighty-four, Sason continues to work across furniture, assemblage, drawing, painting, and sculpture, allowing material and memory to come together through experimentation and play. Here, making is not about urgency or achievement, but about being fully present and finding joy in the process.

“Bangi” invites you to experience works shaped by a lifetime of making, where every material carries a history and every work is a moment to savor. As Stephanie Frondoso concludes in the exhibition statement, Bangi “demonstrates that artistic practice is more than a linear trajectory; it can accumulate, absorb, and continually reinvent itself, much like the reclaimed materials from which many of these works begin.”

Opening this October 3, 2026, 5 PM, at the Main Gallery.
