Kazerne is een internationaal podium en thuis voor de creatieve industrie in het hart van designstad Eindhoven. In een voormalige marechausseekazerne en aangrenzende loods komen de werelden van kunst, design, kennis en techniek letterlijk samen met goed eten en drinken. Hier genieten spontane én doelgerichte gasten van state of the art presentaties en exposities. Hier ontmoeten creatieven van over de hele wereld elkaar en hun opdrachtgevers, het hele jaar door. Ontmoeten (Meet). Dat samen is Kazerne. Kazerne is an international podium and home for the creative industries in the heart of the design city of Eindhoven. In a former military police barracks and the adjoining warehouse the worlds of art, design, knowledge and technique literally come together with good food and drinks. Here both spontaneous and intentional visitors are able to enjoy state-of-the-art presentations and exhibitions. Here, creatives from around the world meet each other and their clients all year round. Here new concepts are developed in crossover labs. Presentation (Expo). Creation (Lab). Coming together (Meet). That is Kazerne.

Tomorrow, DDW is finally here. ✨ Step inside Kazerne for a first glimpse of Embodied Energy, Vibrant Relations.

Behind every object lies a world we do not immediately see. Raw materials, energy, labour and countless natural processes come together within it. What appears static is actually full of movement: connected to what came before, and transforming into what is yet to come.

From working with bacteria and algae to designing for insects and rethinking waste, our new exhibition makes these invisible relationships visible and tangible.

Come visit, explore the exhibitions, dine among the design, or join us for a drink in our new Bar Bistro .

Merging mass production with handcrafted glassmaking. Say hello to Kazerne Design Award 2026 nominee Gad Lomholt Nimér ()!

In Wild Glass, Gad introduces fast casting, a revolutionary process created with Sweden’s Kosta Boda artisans. By sharing his method openly, he pushes back against the glass industry’s closed traditions to make craft fast, accessible, and functional.

Driven by a playful urge to understand complex industrial systems, Matthijs’ project Anatomy of Sound reveals the raw mechanics of audio. Using custom-shaped paper membranes suspended in an open frame, he lets acoustic frequencies fill the room naturally.

Did you know Kazerne was originally built in 1825 as a military police barracks?

For Open Monument Day, step inside our 2,500 m² heritage complex and discover how nearly two centuries of history have been transformed into a vibrant hub where heritage, design, and hospitality converge.

Explore the cozy living rooms of the former barracks, stroll through our leafy courtyard, marvel at the passageway revealing the monumental timber roof structure, and catch the Kazerne Design Award Nominees 2026 exhibition in the former municipal warehouse.
