I’ve been a little quiet here lately — and it was an intentional pause.

Social media gives me so much support, feedback and connection, but it also takes quite a lot of energy. So this summer I decided to step back a little and focus more on the studio.

Now I’m slowly coming back.

Do you have a favourite painting… but feel a print is just too ordinary?

That’s exactly how pieces like this begin.

“The Old Guitarist”, inspired by Pablo Picasso, recreated from hundreds of individually painted wooden blocks and made as a custom commission for a private collector in the USA.

Each block is painted by hand, then assembled into one large textured artwork.

Finally made Mario 🎮

I’ve wanted to work with this theme for a long time, and this commission gave me the perfect opportunity. I especially love the color palette in this piece — all the deep blues, purples and reds.
