At ENTER ART FAIR this week we will show a new series of works of Dutch artist Tessa Verder

The artworks belongs to a series that connects the natural world with human memory, reinterpreting nature through a modern lens. The artist Tessa Verder, is well-known for using innovative layering techniques to create a unique sense of physical depth and atmospheric light.
The painting features a solitary birch tree standing tall against a dark, dramatic sky. The composition is divided into vibrant color zones: the ground is painted with textured moss-green and chartreuse strokes, while the upper branches are covered in soft, delicate clusters of pink and white leaves. This stark contrast between the bright foliage and the shadowy background gives the piece the feel of an enchanted forest.
What stands out most to the visitor is the incredible three-dimensional quality of the work, which makes the leaves and branches seem to float in front of the dark backdrop. Hung on the clean white gallery wall, the glowing pinks and neon greens pop with intense energy. This beautiful contrast between the minimal room and the rich, mysterious texture of the forest invites viewers to stop, step closer, and lose themselves in a magical, silent moment.

Roger Katwijk is happy to introduce Emmeke Eijsbouts.

Emmeke Eijsbouts (1987) graduated from the Amsterdam University of the Arts, specialising in craft techniques. Armed with her tufting guns, Emmeke uses wool to soften the harsh realities of life and make taboo subjects open to discussion.
So she decided to embrace her years in the tropics as a powerful source of inspiration. For her series ‘something came in between’, she transformed unpleasant and harsh scenes – such as soiled nappies, overturned bowls of soup or leaking breasts – into soft,
cuddly tapestries. Through this, she reflects on parenthood and offers a space for recognition and acknowledgement among other young parents.
The soothing power of wool inspired her to take a closer look at the less pleasant aspects of life. By translating raw themes such as menstruation or medication use into soft, tactile works of art, she gives them a new, comforting dimension. Her mission is to
use wool to put a positive spin on uncomfortable situations, thereby softening them and making them easier to talk about.
