NEW AT KERSGALLERY
Kyra Nijskens (Ulestraten, 1997)
KERSGALLERY is pleased to present new works by Kyra Nijskens as part of NEW NATURE, opening 5 June.
Nijskens explores the hidden entanglement between marine ecosystems and industrial infrastructure. Inspired by biofouling—the accumulation of sea organisms on ship hulls and underwater pipelines—her sculptural works reveal how global shipping unintentionally transports life across oceans, reshaping fragile ecological systems.
Using fiberglass, epoxy, found industrial materials, collected shells and painterly interventions, Nijskens creates speculative hybrid environments where nature infiltrates and transforms human-made structures.
Her work is both poetic and unsettling: a reflection on migration, contamination, adaptation, and the ecological afterlife of global trade.

Anna Aagaard Jensen explores the intersection of sculpture, design, and the politics of the body.

Through furniture-like forms, the artist transforms familiar domestic objects into charged sculptural propositions. Her works challenge conventions of beauty, utility, and gender, embracing softness, humor, and bodily excess as forms of resistance.

Following her recent solo presentation at Centraal Museum, works by Anna Aagaard Jensen are currently on view at KERSGALLERY Amsterdam.

Anna Aagaard Jensen (b. 1990, Esbjerg) lives and works in Rotterdam.

KERSGALLERY is delighted to announce the representation of Yeon Kyung Park

Park’s ethereal paintings blur the boundaries between presence and disappearance, image and memory. Working with soft-focus floral compositions that hover between abstraction and figuration, her practice creates a language of quiet intensity and emotional depth.

This October, KERSGALLERY will introduce Park’s work in a duo presentation at our new gallery space, alongside another exceptional young artist.

More soon.

KERSGALLERY announces the representation of Eelke Renschke Bekkenutte.

Her work expands painting into a space between drawing, textile, and gesture—raw, intimate, and instinctive.

Her work will be included in our final exhibition at Lindengracht 148 before KERS relocates to a new space in Amsterdam.

Welcome.

KERSGALLERY is pleased to participate in Art Rotterdam, taking place at Ahoy Rotterdam from March 26 to 29, 2026.

You can find us at Booth B4.

For this edition, KERSGALLERY presents works by Marc Mulders and Anna Aagaard Jensen.

Anna Aagaard Jensen (Esbjerg, 1990) is a Danish artist based in Rotterdam. Her sculptural practice explores the representation of women and the female body through a physical and expressive approach that moves between sculpture, installation, and performance.
Alongside paintings, KERSGALLERY presents the newest ceramic works by Marc Mulders. Developed during his Artist in Residence at Cor Unum in ’s-Hertogenbosch, these works mark both a return to his artistic roots and a new exploration of ceramic as a medium. Revisiting early motifs from his oeuvre, Mulders brings together clay, glaze, and at times stained-glass elements in layered, sensorial compositions.

States of Becoming

Works by Julia Moon, Eline Boerma, Lok Yan Chau and Samir Salim

Opening: 6 March 2026, 5–7 PM
📍 KERSGALLERY

KERSGALLERY presents States of Becoming, a group exhibition bringing together four painters who approach painting as a space of transformation—where body, perception, memory, and social structures remain in flux.

Though all four artists are connected to the Royal College of Art in London, each has developed a distinct visual language.

Through fluid spatial transformations, process-driven experimentation, explorations of trauma and memory, and ironic reflections on power and identity, the exhibition presents painting as a dynamic field of thought and experience.
