Ton Pape made beautiful abstract paintings on paper in the sixties- designing fabrics/ patterns for the ethnic fashion market. The result is these beautiful original works on paper that were probably used to make these fabrics. And geometrical abstract and color come all together in these lovely signed paintings on paper. This passiflora from Arno Hoogland - acting on the border of design and art with his wooden sculptures - is for us one of his icons that we absolutely love at OODE. We started with Hoogland many years ago before he started experimenting with the possibilities of creating his wooden panels as separate wall objects, as ‘artpieces’ in a way. He mainly used these patterns for his interior design projects. We are proud that he made such a journey and now spread his wings 🪽 with his wooden artworks. We will have a small selection available at OODE - the pieces that we really think are iconic. And here the first one ☝️ to remember //

Do you want an artwall at home or need to pimp your office? Oh how we love these recently discovered watercolor paintings on paper by Ton Pape ( 1916-2003). We have ten of them available - looking for a new owner. A good opportunity to have an original piece of a known Dutch artist in you home if you want to start collecting. Ohh what a nice combo: Painting from didje goldsteen with new boxframe and this big black and white vase painted by Kees van de Wal. This is something you just want at home, doesn’t it? The painting is now online at our website - at the orphaned art 🖼️ section.

OODE herbestemd kunst uit depots, nalatenschappen en ateliers. We vinden het belangrijk dat deze mooie kunststukken weer zichtbaar worden. We hebben een prachtige ruimte op het Singel in Amsterdam. Net zoals dit prachtige werk van goldsteen. We zijn open op afspraak en op vrijdag en zaterdag tussen 12-17u. We hopen jullie snel te verwelkomen!

Another beautiful painting from twenty years ago - on canvas by I. Van Koningsbruggen - full of contrast and textures from up close.
In fact they are abstract representations of landscapes as the artist points out herself. And indeed, we could see horizons in the repeating horinzontal lines - anyway this piece is definitely worth to have a look from up close //
