WE ARE PRESENT

After four years in Amsterdam’s Houthavens, The Millen House is opening a new gallery and project space in Amsterdam West.

The new space marks the next chapter for the gallery, continuing our exploration of the dialogue between 20th-century and contemporary art, design and architecture. Through carefully curated encounters between different generations and disciplines, we approach art & design from a broad cultural, historical and architectural perspective.

To mark this new beginning, we are pleased to present PRESENT, the opening exhibition of our new home.
The exhibition includes a site-specific installation by l, created especially for the project room, alongside works by Kaptein, , , Elisabeth Peyton, Egon Schiele, Jan Fabre, , , , , Paul Christiaan Damsté, André van der Vossen and others.

Opening Reception
25 June 2026 | 17:00–21:00

Mart de Houwer — FUNDAMENTAL

A rediscovery at Art on Paper Amsterdam.

For the first time we present a solo fair presentation of Belgian artist Mart de Houwer (1931–1999).

Working quietly from her home in Zonhoven, De Houwer spent years drawing lines — not as image, not as theory, but as focus. Line after line, day after day. She gradually removed everything from the drawing until only the fundament of art remained: the act of making.

From a distance the works look almost empty.
Up close they’re anything but — the hand appears, the ink softens, the surface starts to move. You begin to see time.

For decades her works stayed preserved in her home — a complete archive waiting to be seen. This presentation introduces her work to a wider audience.

The last weekend at PAN Amsterdam. 🍽️

A setting where history and contemporary craft meet around the table.

At its center, a sculptural vessel by anchors the composition — surrounded by custom glassware by , 18th-century Chinese porcelain plates, and silver cutlery by Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen (1926).
Each object tells its own story of craft and form.

Join us this final weekend at Booth 97, RAI Amsterdam.

Take a seat!

At PAN Amsterdam we present a rare set of No. 430 chairs by Verner Panton, upholstered in their original olive velvet. Designed in 1967 and produced by Thonet for just one year, this model captures Panton’s sculptural approach to comfort: industrial parts like tubular chrome legs and aluminum connectors combined with an organic architectural silhouette.

Part of our presentation A Dinner at The Millen House, where iconic and contemporary pieces come together in an intimate setting that blurs the line between gallery and home.
