In an era radically marked by the digital revolution, where daily narratives and experiences are increasingly assimilated by the dynamics of gamification, turning war, the climate crisis, migration, and human relations into a "game", contemporary art is compelled to question its own agency and fundamental purpose.
Can artistic practice reclaim the urgency of a critical discourse, at once singular and collective, or is it fated to subside into a mere consumer commodity, an "Instagrammable" spectacle, and a superficial artifact of our contemporary moment? Curated by sociologist Anna Simone, the group exhibition A che gioco stiamo giocando? emerges precisely to unpack this crucial inquiry.
