✨Riding the wave of the return of Homer’s Odyssey to the screen, step into Circe (1923) by Giovanni Battista Galizzi (1882–1963), a masterpiece of our collection.

🪞Exhibited at the prestigious First International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Monza in 1923, this monumental oval canvas brings classical myth straight into the roaring twenties.

🖌️Galizzi reimagines the famous sorceress as a captivating 1920s femme fatale, draped in sheer, shimmering fabrics and surrounded by her entranced companions.

🦍The painting is a masterclass in technique: vibrant Divisionist brushwork and long filaments of color meet subtle, surprisingly modern dripping accents. Merging Art Deco sophistication with a clever touch of satirical wit- take a close look at the ape tailored in a red coat - it stands as one of the artist’s most extraordinary creations.

🖼️A museum-quality masterpiece of Italian Symbolism, now available at Galleria Berardi.

☀️As the summer sun blazes down today, there’s no better refuge than the refreshing fountains of Tivoli.

⛲️Two works by Pio Bottoni (Rome, 1871) from his acclaimed “Villa d’Este” series.

🌿A leading figure in the In Arte Libertas group, Bottoni - through his sophisticated use of Divisionist light and Symbolist atmosphere - brings the soothing splash of the grand fountains, the shade of centuries-old trees, and the cool, suspended silence of the Lazio countryside directly into your space.

These works, housed in their magnificent coeval gilded frame, offer a rare, evocative journey into the heart of Roman landscape painting.

🖌️Scipione Vannutelli was one of the most elegant figures in the European art scene during the second half of the nineteenth century.

✨A regular at the Salons and at the Roman exhibitions, he received significant recognition for a refined style reminiscent of Meissonier and Fortuny.

🌳Alongside his official works, he produced fresh, immediate works from life - an original form of Italian “Impressionism”.

Lê Văn Đê: Capri Through Vietnamese Eyes, 1933

✨Painted during his pivotal Italian sojourn, Square - Capri reveals Lê Văn Đê at the height of his European period.

🖌️With soft geometry and luminous palette, he transforms Capri’s “Piazzetta” into a silent, timeless space where Eastern delicacy meets Italian Novecento clarity.

A student in Paris in 1932, Lê Văn Đê quickly earned acclaim across France and Italy. In 1936 the Vatican commissioned him to curate its Asian arts section.

🖼️His rare oils, like this one, from the 1930s are now cornerstones of Vietnamese modern art.

This museum-quality work was exhibited at Galleria Pesaro in Milan in 1934.
