🔔 BEYOND THE IMAGE ART PRIZE 2026 | Open Call
BEYOND THE IMAGE ART PRIZE 2026 is an international award dedicated to contemporary photography, video art, experimental film, and hybrid practices that use photographic and audiovisual language as a tool for artistic research.
Organized by Via Gluck 62 AIR as part of the Milano Centrale Festival 2026, under the patronage of Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan and in collaboration with the University of Lausanne, StayOnBoard Art Gallery, All Art Contemporary, and the Gabriele Basilico Archive, the Prize was established to foster a dialogue between contemporary art, neuroscience, and academic research through the theme of its first edition: “Who Are You Beyond the Image?”
The evaluation board is composed of representatives from the institutions involved in the project. The full list of jurors and participants is available in the open call, which we invite you to download and read.
Two projects will be selected, one by an emerging artist and one by an established artist. The winning works will be exhibited at Via Gluck 62 AIR in Milan and included in the official programme of the Milano Centrale Festival 2026, with curatorial and organizational support from the Prize, dedicated communication activities, and, where applicable, a contribution towards production costs.
