Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea is pleased to present the first solo show by artist Evgeniya Pankratova (Evgeniya Pankratova ). The exhibition, titled “Specie di Spazi” (Species of Spaces), brings together a series of paintings and sculptures created specifically for this occasion.

The exhibition’s title, which is intentionally taken from George Perec’s book of the same name, refers to the “bestiary of spaces” that the author compiled while writing his essay. Pankratova has, in fact, portrayed a series of small artificial environments in which fabrics, figures, plants, and other elements interact with each other.

To celebrate the publication of Evgeniya Pankratova’s interview on exibart in collaboration with Fondazione The Bank , we are pleased to announce that on 23 September 2026 we will be opening her first solo exhibition “Specie di spazi”.
The exhibition will feature a selection of her latest works.

These are the last few days to visit Nicol Vizioli’s solo exhibition before we close for the summer holidays.

The gallery will then be closed from 1 August to 30 August.

Alongside the photographic works, Vizioli presents, for the first time, a series of sculptures.
Cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process, they function as devotional relics, somehow archaeological and sacred, suggesting the lingering trace of a presence or memory: a spirit, a friend, or a god that has come and gone.

Meet the artist

Nicol Vizioli (born in Rome), she currently lives and works between London and Rome.
Her work focuses primarily on photography and film. Trained in Fine Arts and Cinema in Rome and in Photography at the University of the Arts London, Nicol’s practice is grounded in raw physicality and a symbolic visual language, drawing on mythology, painting, and a profound connection to the natural and animal world.
Recent commissions include the London Contemporary Orchestra, Akram Khan Company,
South London Gallery and Kew Botanical Gardens. Her work has been exhibited in international galleries and art fairs such as Scope Basel (CH), Somerset House (London, UK), Trienniale di Milano (IT), Watou Festival (Poperinge, BE), Zabludowicz Collection
(London, UK), The XV Biennale de la Mediterranée (Thessaloniki, GR), Roundhouse (London, UK), Rosphoto (St.Petersburgh, RU) amongst others.
Nicol has also been teaching and delivering workshops at: Central Saint Martins (London), NABA-NewAcademy of Fine Arts (Rome), Ljósmyndaskólinn (Reykjavík), Paris College of Arts (Paris, Mahal Art Space (Tangier), La Erre (Guatemala City), University of West London (London), Solent University (Southampton), London College of Fashion (London), University of Wolverhampton - School of Arts (Wolverhampton), IED - Istituto Europeo di Design (Rome), ISFCI - Institute of Photography (Rome).
