Bollywood Art Project - BAP

Bollywood Art Project - BAP Bollywood Art Project (BAP) s an urban Street Art project that aims to paint the walls into a living

Who we are:

BAP is an urban public art project that aims to transform the walls in Mumbai into a living memorial to Bollywood. The initiators of the project want to map the cinematic history of India on Mumbai walls through street art influenced by the 70 years old design tradition of hand painted Bolllywood posters. In the pipeline:

Indian Cinema turns 100 in 2013 and B.A.P will be celebrating

this by paying tribute to the Legends of Indian Cinema in the best way we know- through street art. Tribute to the Legends of Indian Cinema kicked off with the first 20ft X
15ft wall on Chapel Road Bandra being transformed by a wall painting of a still from the film Anarkali (1953, Dir: Nand Lal Jaswant Lal; Pradeep Kumar holding a coy Bina
Rai in his arms). This beautiful piece is coming to life at the hands of Ranjit Dahiya, a veteran of Bollywood art having stamped his mark at art exhibits in France (Salon Du Cinema” Paris, Feb 2009; Community Wall Painting at La Rochelle, Jun-Jul 2010; 32 International Film Festival La Rochelle, Jul-Sept 2010) & 28th International Film Festival, Jul-Aug 2011.

Today, we bid farewell to the legendary Asha Bhosle — a voice that defined generations, emotions, and the very soul of Indian music.

Her melodies were not just songs, they were memories… woven into our lives through love, joy, heartbreak, and celebration. From timeless classics to playful tunes, her versatility was unmatched, and her spirit unforgettable.

Thank you for the music, the magic, and the moments you gave us. Your voice will echo forever in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Asha ji. 🎶
