The Bombay Art Society proudly inaugurated its 134th All India Annual Art Exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai 🎨
We were honoured by the presence of the Guests Anuradha Paudwal, Hon. Adv. Ashish Shelar - ॲड. आशिष शेलार, Minister for Cultural Affairs & IT, Government of Maharashtra and Prof. Kishor Ingale, Director, Directorate of Art.

From over 3,500 entries across India, 275 artworks were selected, showcasing the richness and diversity of contemporary Indian art.
🏆 Awards & Scholarships
• Roopdhar Lifetime Samman: Late Sculptor Chandrajit Yadav
• Bendre-Husain Scholarship: Prasad Mestri
• Sandhya Misra Scholarship: Sonal Salekar
• Ravi & Smita Paranjape Chitradiksha Scholarship: Krishnapada Maity
A total of 46 awards and 3 scholarships were presented across painting, sculpture, graphics and photography.
Since 1888, The Bombay Art Society continues to support and celebrate artists from across the country.

Bombay Art Society sadly mourns the demise of Padma Shri Ram V. Sutar, the legendary and eminent sculptor whose monumental contributions have left an everlasting imprint on Indian art and cultural heritage.

A visionary artist and master of form, Shri Ram V. Sutar’s works continue to inspire generations of artists and art lovers across the world. His dedication, craftsmanship, and lifelong service to the field of sculpture remain unparalleled.

In recognition of his extraordinary contribution to art, Bombay Art Society had the honour of conferring upon him the Roopadhar Lifetime Samman in 2010. We remain proud to have celebrated his remarkable journey and achievements.

Bombay Art Society extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and admirers. May his soul rest in peace and his legacy continue to guide and inspire the artistic community.
