Laser prints from the Blue Man Series by Prithwin Dutta (Prithwin Dutta) 🔵

The ‘Blue Man’ series originated in 2021 and is continuing till date. The series is being approached in various aspect ratios and various timeframes with ever evolving situations, even after a long no meet he will come back like an old friend to discuss life and take a look around. Reality hits humour in these works infused with a narrative element, also sometimes leading towards vast existential aspects.

All the works from this segment are ink drawn on paper and digitally completed using the Photoshop platform.

Burnt prints and zines in Cyanotype and uniball posca markers on watercolor paper by Showmetheblue (show me the blue)

Showmetheblue is a graphic designer and cyanotype artist based in Ahmedabad whose practice moves between urban exploration and experimental printmaking. With seven years in graphic design, they shifted focus to the cyanotype process two years ago while being drawn to its alchemy of light and chemistry.

Having lived across Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai, the artist finds source material in local markets, street typography, and the architectural grain of each city. Photographs become blue-toned prints: quiet documents of place, where memory and material meet. Papers from Ahmedabad’s Kalamkhush and Pondicherry serve as ground; burning, marking, and toning with organic materials push the image toward something less fixed.

Interests in cinema, literature, and typography run through the work, transforming the technical act of printing into a kind of meditation. In June 2024, Showmetheblue established their practice as a platform to celebrate the medium through workshops, pop-ups, zines, and animation, and to share it as widely as possible.

Small format zines proving the tiniest things carry the biggest stories, eight decades of Indian art and architecture bound between covers since 1946, Tamil Dalit Futurism conjuring worlds that are part human and part myth, ink and colour where memory arrives in fragments, comedy and poetry sharpened by anti caste politics, paper woven into home and quiet vulnerability, and cyanotype prints pulled from empty rooms and locked doors.
