Négy kiskoncert, két nagykoncert, négy tárlatvezetés, három kerekasztal-beszélgetés, egy filmbemutató, egy könyvbemutató, egy gyerekfoglalkozás. 40 év. 96 év. Végtelen érdeklődés és szeretet.
Ilyesmi számokkal lehetne röviden összefoglalni azt a három napot, mely során a Liszt Múzeum jubileumát ünnepeltük.
S hosszabban? Múlt héten csütörtöktől szombatig ünnepeltük, hogy a Liszt Múzeum 1986-ban, azaz éppen 40 éve megnyitotta kapuit. Velünk ünnepelt számos más múzeum és közgyűjtemény dolgozója, rengeteg gyerek és szülő, akik A zongora titkai és Zenei körutazás Liszt Ferenccel című kalandban vett részt.
Velünk tartott Eckhardt Mária, a múzeum alapító igazgatója, akivel Mácsai János beszélgetett. Fellépett több zeneakadémiai hallgató, hogy kiskoncerttel tegye még nagyobb élménnyé a tárlatvezetéseket. Megtekinthettük Joe Sabia filmjét, amit a Liszt-kutató Alan Walkerrel készített, s mindketten ide is utaztak. A 96 éves Alan Walker egyenesen Kanadából érkezett, s nemcsak beszélgetésekben vett részt, hanem dedikálta is most újrakiadott háromkötetes Liszt-monográfiáját.

Four small concerts, two major concerts, four guided tours, three round-table discussions, a film screening, a book launch, and a children’s activity. 40 years. 96 years. Infinite curiosity and affection.
These figures give a brief summary of the three days during which we celebrated the anniversary of the Liszt Museum.
And in a little more detail? From Thursday to Saturday last week, we celebrated the fact that the Liszt Museum opened its doors in 1986 — exactly 40 years ago. Joining us in the celebrations were staff from numerous other museums and public collections, as well as countless children and parents who took part in the adventures The Secrets of the Piano and A Musical Journey with Franz Liszt. We were joined by Mária Eckhardt, the museum’s founding director, who was interviewed by János Mácsai. Several students from the Liszt Academy performed short concerts, adding an extra dimension to the guided tours. We had the opportunity to see Joe Sabia’s film, made with Liszt scholar Alan Walker, and both of them travelled here for the occasion. Ninety-six-year-old Alan Walker came all the way from Canada and not only took part in the discussions, but also signed copies of his newly reissued three-volume biography of Liszt.
The celebrations were made even more special by Klukon Edit and Dezső Ránki, who delighted audiences with Liszt concerts on two evenings.
We were particularly pleased that, alongside ambassadors from several countries, Minister Judit Lannert and State Secretary Dr Sándor Katz also honoured our institution with their presence.
Thank you to everyone who has accompanied us over the past 40 years, and to everyone who joined us for these three days!
