大家時常在公開場合及媒體報導見到保良局總理的身影，除了出席活動，他們背後肩負著什麼職責？1977年當屆主席莊榮坤先生曾以「保良局的總理」為題💬，分享擔任總理的條件與日常，讓我們一起了解這份使命！
據報道，總理的推舉並無明文規定，凡身家清白、品德高尚且熱心公益的人士，均有機會獲推舉為總理。除了具備這些條件，總理亦需出錢出力，投入資源服務社會💖。
上任後，總理需積極參與局務管治，包括加入工作小組籌劃活動、親身巡視屬校視察教學環境，以及接待外界友好團體、維繫合作關係🤝。此外，總理亦會參與迎月晚會，向局童贈送禮物🎁；在關帝誕參與祭祀儀式，祈求善業順利發展。
該報道亦提及，保良局總理平均每日需花一至兩小時處理局務。對需要兼顧本身事業的總理而言，這亦代表他們在日常工作以外，須恆常另撥時間及心力服務保良局。

We often see Po Leung K*k Directors at public events and in the media. But beyond attending these occasions, what responsibilities do they actually take on? In 1977, Chairman Mr. Cheng Eng Kuan shared his insights on "The Directors of Po Leung K*k" 💬, discussing the qualifications and day-to-day work involved. Let’s take a closer look at this important role!
According to the news report, there were no formal requirements for becoming a Po Leung K*k Director. Anyone with a clean record, high moral character, and a genuine commitment to public service could be nominated. In addition to these qualities, Directors were expected to contribute both funds and effort, dedicating their personal resources and commitment to serving the community 💖.
Once in office, Directors were actively involved in the governance and management of the K*k. Their duties included joining committees to plan activities, visiting affiliated schools to inspect the learning environment, and receiving visiting organizations to maintain collaborative relationships 🤝. They also took part in traditional events, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration to present gifts to the children 🎁, or the Kwan Ti Festival to pay their respects and pray for the successful development of the K*k's charitable work.
The report also mentioned that, on average, Po Leung K*k Directors spent one to two hours handling K*k affairs every day. For Directors who also managed their own businesses, this meant regularly setting aside additional time and effort beyond their daily professional lives to serve the organization.
