Wellingborough Museum is hosting a special spooky talk on Halloween... with none other than The Ghost Detective, Adrian Perkins, himself! 👻

The Ghost Detective has investigated and written about some of the most spine-chilling cases of ghost sightings and spirit activity in the county, with some even within Wellingborough itself. His thirty-year career has put the Ghost Detective series of books he writes at the top of the must-read list for paranormal enthusiasts.

His team also includes historians, archaeologists, parapsychologists, psychologists, and mediums, who assist in giving the full picture whilst investigating.

Doors open at 6:30pm, with the talk starting at 7pm.

Tickets cost just £5pp, and can either be booked in advance, or reserved and paid on the night.

Limited spaces are available, so be quick! Book yours by popping down to the museum gift shop, or reserve a spot by calling us on 01933 276838.

We've got everything you need - our downstairs gift shop sells both new non-fiction and second-hand local history books, whilst our upstairs shelving plays host to a wide range of different second-hand fiction and non-fiction for both adults and children!

The best part? All our second-hand books are just £2 each or 3 for £5! 😮🙌

The museum is open until 4pm, and if you're unable to make it today, we're open from Monday-Saturday every week from 10am-4pm.

EXHIBITION | We are delighted to announce a new exhibition opening this October in partnership with Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust. Reimagining the museums film archive collection, this new FREE exhibition focuses on the stories and histories behind the cameras.

We are launching the exhibition with a small gathering in the Dulley Room on Wednesday October 21st from 1pm until 3pm - join us and the team from the Film Archive Trust to learn more.

Entry to the exhibition and museum is FREE, Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm (last admission at 4pm).

Join Wellingborough Museum for a spooky night of Music Bingo!🎃🎶

The game works just as regular bingo would… however instead of a boring number, you’ll have to listen closely to the song being played. If the song is on your card, then dab it off, and wait to hear the next song!

Forget traditional bingo, this is all about the tunes. There’ll be hits from both the past and the present, so expect plenty of sing-along moments, dancing in your seat, and maybe even a few spooky surprises! 👻

Whether you’re a fan of classic Halloween hits, 80s anthems, or modern chart favourites, this is a brilliant night out with friends, family, and fellow music lovers.

Got 2 hours to spare during the week or on a Saturday? We are looking for friendly faces to join our front-of-house volunteer team here at the museum.

What You'll Do
✅Welcome visitors, provide initial information, and answer general enquiries in person or over the phone
✅Till operation for shop and café sales, and donations
✅Help keep the reception, shop and café tidy and well-stocked
✅Create an enjoyable experience for every visitor

The Summer Holidays are over and the weather is getting colder... that means it's almost time for the spooky season! 🎃

The museum and the giftshop are open on Mon-Sat from 10am-4pm.
