Donations (Three of a kind)

MDA is interested in hearing from any potential donators of relevant historical material, documents and artefacts that you feel has merit for future preservation and are happy to pass our way for long term care and custodianship; secondly, MDA is happy to receive books and art & craft material for our monthly market table at the VR - Thank you kindly to those who have donated already (you know who you are), and, thirdly, donations to support the funding of a new special Shipping Container for long term storage at a special location just outside the village.

We have re-established contact with Milverton, Ontario!

The two Milvertons used to have contact between the 50's (instigated by the Girl Guides) and 80's before it petered out. We have now remade contact and their archivist has kindly shared PDFs of items mentioning Milverton UK, including this article on Milverton Ontario's 100th anniversary. The other articles will be accessioned into the Archive once we have completed the Accessions Audit.

They have a Facebook group (History and memories of Milverton Ontario) you can join if you are interested.

People of Milverton we need your support for the Milverton & District Archive, have you recently had a clear out? A late spring clean? Do you have a pile for the charity shop?
Donations for our table top sale at the community market will be very much appreciated, all proceeds go directly to supporting the MDA and holding on to Milvertons history.
Please drop off at the market next Saturday or message Lou Heald or Anna C N Farrow for collection.
