Its the last few days of my exhibition( which has been very successful) in the Ground Cafe Burnham on Crouch, it will end on the 18th. There's still time to have a look.
My next exhibition will be at the Parlour Cafe starting on October 24th to 4th December I plan to display some linoprints, monoprints, pastel paintings and ink drawings. The pictures will be very affordable, an ideal opportunity to get an early Christmas present. (sorry to say that word in September !)

I had a lovely morning yesterday at the Gnome cafe drawing, chatting and promoting Maldon Art Trail. This is the result of the drawing, based on a photo taken by Alan Davey. Today is the last official art trail day although some art including mine will remain on display for a while.

Something completely different, this is a monoprint. I did it using a gelli plate. The paint is rolled onto the plate, the constructed nest is then pressed into the plate along with some leaves and feathers. I painted the eggs with watercolour. The process is very hit and miss, you never know exactly how it will turn out and it can't be reproduced exactly.

This is an axolotl apparently very popular at the moment ! It's cute and scary at the same time. A species of mole salam...

This is an axolotl apparently very popular at the moment ! It's cute and scary at the same time. A species of mole salamander, they live in the water in a small area if Mexico. They are critically endangered only 50 to 1000 individuals in the wild, a larger population exists in captivity. They have the unique ability to regenerate body parts. This one will be appearing in the Maldon art trail ! A4 size.
