Dr. John Davies will be at the museum tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 p.m. to give a talk exploring aspects of life on Norfolk’s coast through a range of historic finds and objects. Ahoy! Dive into the world of maritime textiles with demos, workshops and storytelling (10.30, 11am, 2, 3pm) included free with day ticket purchase - tomorrow 6th August!

Whether you're a fabric fanatic or just curious, this day is packed with hands-on demos, workshops, and loads of inspiration. Come meet fellow enthusiasts, learn about gansey knitting, rope making, crab-pot making demos, as well as a display of coastal erosion themed work by the artist collective; 'When it's gone, it's gone'.

We're celebrating World Embroidery Day on 6th August, 2026 with the unveiling of our new exhibit - a beautifully conserved work by Norfolk's amazing stitcher of seascapes John Craske. We're open daily Monday to Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
