Was Francis Bacon really Shakespeare?

Some people believe that Francis Bacon wrote the works of Shakespeare...

One possible piece of evidence is in St Albans in a wall painting in Pots of Art showing a scene from Shakespeare’s 1593 poem Venus and Adonis. It includes symbols associated with Bacon including the boar from the Bacon family crest.

☀️ If you enter the Hypocaust by the lower door just as the sun is coming through the door onto the mosaic...

You almost imagine how the Roman family who once lived here might have felt when they walked into the room and looked across the same mosaic floor 1800 years go (minus the railings!)

The Hypocaust is free entry and open every day 10am-4pm.
Located in Verulamium Park.
