Hunting In Art
Like it or loathe it, hunting has long been popular, both as a sport and as the subject of paintings.
Hunting is apparent in the earliest forms of art, cave paintings. Following this, the depiction of hunting in art goes back to the Ancient Greeks, when it was seen on their tableware. During the Roman period, many hunting scenes were found on their sarcophagi, and in Medieval times, hunting scenes could be found in manuscripts, wall paintings, and tapestries.

Fruit In Art
Depictions of fruit in art can be dated back 3000 years to Ancient Egypt, where still-life paintings of food could be found in the majority of Egyptian tombs. The common belief of the era was that these artistic representations would become tangible in the afterlife, permitting the deceased to feast upon them.
The fruit, like human life, is intended to portray the transient nature related to our existence.
Specific fruits have different symbolic meanings they’ve acquired through time, due to myths and legends of varied cultures. Fruits intermingle the background and with the colours, artists choose to represent diverse events and evoke various emotions.
Here’s a collection of some of our fruit-themed still-life paintings. You can view our full collection on our website here: https://snip.ly/06m58a
