We’re thrilled to share that our upcoming workshop will be with the amazing Anne Lynch VPRWS on October 18th here at Church St Gallery🎨. This special event is now open for bookings both online and at the gallery, inviting you to enjoy the delightful experience of water and collage painting.
Anne encourages everyone to observe a still life directly, making it simple and enjoyable to explore tones, colors, and marks. Her goal is to help you gain confidence with watercolour and support you in creating your own artwork.
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as those with some experience, and Anne will be there to offer plenty of encouragement and guidance throughout the day. All you need is an open heart and a little willingness to have fun!
Born in Edinburgh, Anne studied at Edinburgh Art College before moving to London, where she now has a studio, and also spends time in France with another studio. She has always loved working in watercolour, combining it with collage to capture brightness and texture. In 2019, Anne was honored as an Associate of The Royal Watercolour Society, and she became a full member in 2021. She received the Purchase Prize at the RWS Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition in 2018, the Baohong Artists’ Watercolour Paper Prize at the RIWS, Mall Galleries in 2024, and was shortlisted for the Drawing Bursary Discerning Eye exhibition in 2014. Her artwork is cherished in private collections and by institutions worldwide, and we feel so lucky to have showcased her beautiful work at Church Street Gallery for many years.
