We can't wait to welcome Bronwyn the Brontosaurus to Buckinghamshire Railway Centre this Sunday!

Bronwyn will be joining Echo the Velociraptor, Scar the Spinosaurus and a selection of adorable baby dinosaurs for a ROAR-some day out on Sunday 7th June.

Join us on Sunday 21st June for the 42nd Annual Ridgeway Run, where dozens of historic commercial vehicles will make their way from Henley to Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.

Last year we welcomed around 80 vehicles, making it a fantastic day out for anyone who loves classic transport, vintage vehicles and railway heritage.

The next couple of months are looking very busy here at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre!!

With Dino Day this weekend, the return of the Ridgeway Run, our fascinating Moving the Mail event, a brand new Murder on the Ocean Princess experience and the ever-popular Emergency Services Day, there's plenty to look forward to over the next couple of months.

🦖 Dino Day - Sunday 7th June
Meet Echo the Velociraptor, Scar the Spinosaurus, Bronwyn the Brontosaurus and some adorable baby dinosaurs. Plus enjoy unlimited steam train rides and 25 acres to explore.

Celebrate Father's Day with dozens of historic commercial vehicles arriving at the railway.

Discover the fascinating story of the Travelling Post Office and how railways helped keep Britain connected.

Come along to our Railway Cafe located inside our beautiful visitor centre. It’s open during the week 9am-2pm when most of the rest of the site is closed (hence free entry!) but you can still wander through some of the exhibits and the kids can enjoy the play area!

The Railway Cafe - inside the beautiful visitor centre at Bucks Railway Centre in Quainton. No entry fee to come in for our cafe-only days Monday to Friday 9.30am-2pm.

Enjoy a sweet treat, breakfast or lunch, hot/cold drinks and ice creams. Good prices and yummy food.

Wander around the exhibits inside and out. The kids can enjoy the train tables, the play area and our fun Visitor Centre I-Spy…

Good morning! It's a Steaming Day here at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre today.

If you're looking for a lovely day out, we've got unlimited steam train rides running throughout the day, plus the Railway Museum, model railway, visitor centre, café and gift shop all open.

The perfect excuse to get out of the house and enjoy a day at the railway!

No need to pre-book, you can purchase tickets on the gate! Doors open 10.30am

Tomorrow (Sunday 31st May) we’re holding a Steaming Day! We hope to have Arthur in steam for passenger rides, but we’ll also have Millom out because we’ve got charity Alecs Angels here with a team to take part in a 22 tonne ENGINE PULL!! Other visitors cannot take part but it’s great fun to watch! Come along and support them!
Open 10.30-5pm… the whole site will be open.

Step back in time and discover how Britain’s mail once travelled by rail at our Moving the Mail event on Sunday 5th July 🚂✉️

From Travelling Post Office carriages to fascinating talks on the history of railway mail services, it’s a really interesting day for anyone who loves railways, history or something a little different.

Visitors will be able to explore displays inside the TPO carriages, learn about the Great Train Robbery and hear more about how mail was sorted and transported while trains were moving across the country.

You can also enjoy steam train rides, visit the Railway Museum, explore the model railway and stop by the café and gift shop during your visit!
