If you've been in since we've opened and been upstairs you'll have seen that the floors have been in need of some TLC. This Tuesday we'll be closed as the old flooring will be taken up and new put in. We're sorry for any inconvenience this will cause but we're trying to keep the time it takes to a minimum.

They'll be working for 2 days but the first is going to be loud and dusty so we'll be closing to give them the space and means the job should go smoother.

We can't wait to show you the before and after and to welcome some more local artists after for Oundle Fringe when they bring their pieces in for the exhibition.

Father's Day is coming up this weekend and we have a great range of pieces that could make the perfect gift at any budget. From turned wood and quirky pottery to nostalgic art and beautiful originals of local wildlife.

We also have an amazing range of cards available that could be perfect for fathers day. They're all blank inside so you can add that personal touch.

We're open 7 days a week now! From Monday to Saturday we're open 10am til 4:30pm and on Sundays it's shorter hours from 11am to 2 pm. We're in 3 West Street, between Beans and Harpurs the jewellers.

Have you seen the picture on the inside of the brochure? It's 'Through the Trees' by the amazing Deirdre Blackburn. We have the original in the gallery and it's even better in person.

Some of our other artists are also taking part in the PAOS trail, we love how many really local artists have been interested in being in our little gallery and all the support we've had from them.

If you haven't been into the gallery the last week, we've had a shuffle around on our walls. We like to refresh what we have on display downstairs so everyone has the chance to see it.

We have the best customers! One of our regulars came in today with these beautiful flowers as a gift for the team. We love having a chat with people, especially about art and finding out about the history of our building and Oundle in general.

If you ever want to come in and just browse and chat feel free. We want art to not only be affordable but accessible to as many as possible. Just coming in to have a look around as you wander through the town is great, our local artists love it when people enjoy their art and so do we.

The talented Keiran Hodge came by today with some new pieces and some cards, the perfect timing for fathers day next weekend!

The Spinney Hare is a giclee print of a coloured pencil drawing, ready to be framed in any way you'd like, while the framed Wings is an original colour pencil drawing of a red kite. They're both animals you see often around Oundle and the surrounding villages and it's always nice to see art of local wildlife in so many different styles from our range of artists.

The pictures are both available on our website, or you can pop in and see them in person. We're going to be trialling being open 7 days a week from this Sunday. Monday to Saturday is 10am til 4:30pm and for this Sunday we'll be open from 10am til 2pm, this may change for future Sundays. We're 3 West street, right between Beans and Harpurs jewellery.

We have some beautiful new Anne Gilbert originals in our browser. These come without a frame so you can pick your own and they're easier to post if you want to send them as a gift long distance.

These are watercolour and ink paintings, we love Anne's technique and how she manages to capture the character in every animal she paints. We have other originals available, both framed and unframed, as well as a wide range of prints of all sorts of animals, from red kites to wolves.

This area in the old fireplace is perfect to showcase our beautiful 3D art. We have a mix of ceramics, wood turning and glass and these glass shelves let the light through and show off the colours amazingly.

We love the features in this beautiful old building and want to make the most of them. Do any of you have an old house like this, it's built in the 1620s, and how do you make the most of these old features?

If you're wandering round Oundle Open Gardens on West Street or having a coffee in Beans feel free to come and see our local art in Jackdaw Gallery on West Street. We're hoping the weather holds up and isn't too wet for the day!

All of our art is from within 50 miles of the gallery and we're opening this Sunday as an experiment. We'll be trialing Sundays after from 11-2 but this week is an earlier opening due to the event.
