We're pleased to announce that our Main Train service this weekend will be operated by our HST 125, featuring fully functioning air conditioning throughout the train.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a cool, comfortable journey, with refreshments available from our onboard Buffet Car.

Please note that Thomas will only be running on Saturday alongside the HST. On Sunday, the HST will operate our Silver Timetable services.

We're delighted to introduce East Coast Flyer, a specially bottled IPA created exclusively for our Best of British and East Coast events.
We are also pleased to announce that The Engine Shed Brewery will be attending all three of our Tornado and Deltic events this July. Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide selection of beers and ales, available from the brewery stand on Platform 2 and from our on-train buffet car.

☀️IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THOMAS THIS WEEKEND☀️

Due to the exceptionally hot weather forecast this weekend, the wellbeing and safety of our staff and volunteers must remain our top priority. Our locomotive crews will be working in challenging conditions, and after careful consideration, we have decided that Thomas will operate on Saturday only during this weekend’s Branch Line event. He will depart at 10:00. 12:00, 1400, 1500

We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. We hope you can join us on Saturday to enjoy a ride behind Thomas and make the most of the event. If you have a booked ticket and cannot make Saturday please contact our office

If you are visiting us this weekend, please remember to wear light clothing, apply sunscreen, and stay well hydrated throughout the day.

To help you stay cool, we have a range of refreshments available, including:

Our Peak of Summer Freight Driving Experience gives you the chance to take the controls of a heritage diesel locomotive, ride in the brake van and experience the different roles involved in operating a goods train.

Best of all, proceeds from this experience support the NVR Wagon Group, helping them continue their work restoring and preserving a British Railways-era goods train for future generations.

A unique experience for railway enthusiasts and a great way to support an important heritage project.

Wednesday Services
We will be running our Diesel Traction service tomorrow with our Class 14 locomotive.

With the current heat affecting the area, we also need to look after the wellbeing of our volunteers and staff. You may notice a more relaxed uniform dress code, and our volunteers may be taking more frequent breaks throughout the day.

If you're planning to visit us for a ride, we recommend wearing light clothing, staying hydrated, and applying sun cream before your visit.

We have a wide selection of refreshments available, including:

🥤 Milkshakes
🧋 Frappes
🥤 Cold Drinks

And don't forget—our tunnel remains cool all year round, making it the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing ride away from the heat.
