Looks like a fun family day this Saturday:

We're getting excited about our Free Crafts event on Sat 5 Sept. All are very welcome! The crafts can be tailored to be nice and simple for young visitors, and more advanced for seasoned creatives! There'll also be non-craft table-top activities relating to Prestongrange, literature on the manufacturing here, and the opportunity to chat to our friendly staff about the site's industries. Something for everyone- see you there! 😀😀😀

As August draws to a close, there’s still lots to discover at the Coastal Communities Museum. We have plenty for curious minds of all ages, from dressing up and quizzes, to knot tying and geological discovery.

Come and find out more from our enthusiastic volunteers. We’re open from Wednesday – Saturday every week from 11am until 4pm. There’s 2 hours free parking available for all museum and library visitors.

There’s plenty to discover in our Geology exhibit with quizzes, videos and explanations of how our entire coastal landscape was formed. Come and meet our friendly volunteers and learn where Limestone, Sandstone, Red Phonolite and Bluestone can be found in our local area.

We’re open on Wednesday to Saturday from 11-4pm. Two hours of free parking available.

We would like to thank North Berwick Trust for giving us a grant towards designing and producing a new leaflet for the museum.

The Trust have generously supported the museum over the years, allowing us to purchase professional quality cases for our exhibits amongst other things.

The Trust also support Fringe by the Sea and have this wonderful illustration of North Berwick by Steven Butcher Art & Illustration on display at the Lodge this week. We were delighted to spot our School Road premises on the map!

We’re open Wednesday to Saturday every week over the summer from 11-4pm and there’s 2 hours free parking for museum and library visitors.
