The Summer Holidays are almost over but 'All That Floats' is our theme for the final Thursday tomorrow. Prof Dean & Engineer Richard will be here along with the Arts & Crafts, 'Marshall' running, trains running, Astaria Model Village and a pirate & mermaid on site! We hope to see you tomorrow.

Come along to our Summer Holiday Fun Day this Thursday 20th August as Sea Creatures take over the Museum, through brilliant experiments, arts and crafts, hunt and meet with Pirate Alan and Professor Dean, Engineer Richard and Crafty Cabin’s sand art and slime making. Explore our brilliant Museum, take a ride on our miniature railway and visit the Model Village plus much more fun to be had. Team pump Tea Room open for refreshments, food and ice creams.

Yesterday we had a fabulous day of summer holiday fun full with exciting, hair tingling scientific experiments, pirate fun in the model village, brilliant arts and crafts exploring All That Floats, treasure hunts, train rides and Crafty Cabin fun with sand art, slime making and glitter art.

Come and have a magical time next Thursday between 9.30 - 4pm when the theme is Mermaids and Pirates 🧜‍♀️🧜🏴‍☠️

🌊 Pirates & Mermaids Summer Fun at the Museum of Power! 🏴‍☠️🧜‍♀️

We had a fantastic day on Thursday as families joined us for our Pirates and Mermaids School Holiday activities! Mermaids and buccaneers took over the museum with a full day of hands‑on fun.

Resident scientists Dean and Richard wowed visitors with Desert Island Survival Science, while Mermaid Eloise shared how mermaids communicate and captivated everyone with her fabulous storytelling.

Children enjoyed a treasure hunt, amazing arts & crafts, rides on the miniature railway, exploring the model village, and discovering the museum’s incredible engines and artefacts — a truly fabulous day for all.

✨ Summer Fun Days continue every Thursday for the next 5 weeks, with themes inspired by Oceans, Seas and Rivers.
