On 5th September 1907 Norwegian sailing vessel Fornjot was wrecked off Lowestoft when the tow rope broke as she left the harbour in Force 5 SW winds.

Local photographer H Jenkins captured the scene and this is one of his photographs that we have in our archive.

We are excited that artist Anastasia Eggers (the lady who got boats to dance!)
will be at our museum on Sunday 6th September to share her unique work inspired by her interactions with people in the fishing industry in Lowestoft and Rotterdam.
Come on down to meet her and see the amazing slideshow.

The museum will be open from 10am, last entry 3pm
