Several flood alerts, meaning flooding is possible, have been issued by the Environment Agency due to high tides:

🔶 The Suffolk coast at Southwold
🔶 The Suffolk coast from Lowestoft to Bawdsey
🔶 The tidal Deben estuary
🔶 The Suffolk and Essex coast from Felixstowe to Clacton including Orwell and Stour estuaries

The free audio guide handsets we introduced new for this year give more information about each area, supplementing the information boards and video/audio points around the museum.

We welcome visitors to the museum and whilst we do have accessible facilities we appreciate that not everyone is able to come to us.

We therefore loan out Reminiscence Boxes to enable more people to share our collection, stimulate memories and conversation.

There are five differently themed boxes that can be borrowed:

• Fishing and the Sea
• 1940s and 1950s
• Home Life
• Work
• Childhood
