Further work on 628 prepping the battery box and recently fitted panels for paint.

A coat of bitumen paint for the battery box and special metals primer for the panelling and they are ready for the inevitable paint job.

Also a coat of primer for the recently replaced panel on Hastings 34.

An evening on Newcastle 628 again last night for the team working on getting her back on the road.

The curved upper saloon panel fitment was finished and tidied up ready for paint preparation and then onto the production of a new battery box and a few other smaller jobs completed.

A panel fabricated and half fitted to Newcastle 628 and some prep work for the battery box and upper saloon hand rails.

We are celebrating London 260’s 90th and NESA 5’s 100th this year, Nottingham 578 is back under the wires and work will soon re-start on Newcastle 628. Our own NESA 5 has been very popular today with visitors at The Long Shop Museum, back where it was built 100 years ago, to celebrate the trolleybus centenary and completion of their Ipswich Corporation trolleybus No.26, at the old Garrett works and has been joined by some more visiting vehicles.
