Artists Mohammed Barrangi & Tamsin Loxley have arrived Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens to undertake The Ushaw Residency, awarded to two Artists annually as part of the Imprint x Ushaw Residency & Acquisition Award 💫

This wonderful opportunity allows artists to spend time at the magnificent historic site, explore the celebrated Pugin architecture, the breathtaking chapels, gardens and incredibly special library collection. The artists will create work in response to the site which will preview in the autumn, followed by an exhibition at the museum itself, and an acquisition made for each artist to the permanent collection.

Mohammad & Tamsin will be speaking about their work at an open event this evening Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens - The Conversation Room 6.30pm - all welcome.

Cat Roissetter | Car Park in an English Shire
Opens tonight at St John’s, Healey, Northumberland

Roissetter’s new paintings introduce a playful tension within the church’s serene architectural setting, while drawing upon a shared lineage of visual storytelling that connects ecclesiastical space with the broader traditions of art history that we see reimagined in her paintings.

St. John’s is a striking nineteenth century building with a growing reputation for an ambitious contemporary programme which shows the work of women artists.

Lizzie Glendinning is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by acclaimed artist, Cat Roissetter, marking their first presentation together in the North East following Cat’s recent stay on The Brocket Residency and over a decade of collaboration on exhibitions, fairs and private projects

The exhibition is set in the small rural church of St. John’s Healey, a striking nineteenth-century building with a growing reputation for an ambitious contemporary programme which shows the work of women artists.
