Introducing Yeon Kyung Park •

Her atmospheric still-life paintings are grounded in a quiet attentiveness to the subtle, often unnoticed textures of daily life.

Rather than monumentalising the extraordinary, Park turns toward fleeting, intimate impressions those transitional moments, such as the hushed stillness of dawn, when time seems momentarily suspended. It is within these intervals that she locates a sense of calm, seeking to translate not only what is seen, but what is felt in passing.

Her painterly language is defined by a refined use of tone-on-tone colour and a light, measured application of paint, allowing forms to emerge gradually rather than assert themselves. Edges remain soft, gestures understated, and compositions deliberately pared back.

Through this restraint, objects appear to hover between clarity and dissolution, resisting fixed definition. What unfolds instead is a visual field that mirrors the workings of memory, where the boundary between presence and recollection becomes indistinct.

Introducing Mary West •

Her practice explores light, space, and texture through landscape painting, moving fluidly between abstraction and figuration.

Memories of place form the starting point for each composition, with each painting emerging as an emotional response to landscape and shared encounters. Working primarily in oils, she allows the material to guide the process, embracing chance, gestural mark-making, and the unpredictability of paint.

The work is created quickly and intuitively, building layered surfaces that suggest movement, atmosphere, and depth.

Introducing Hubert Mardi •

His work unfolds within a constant dialogue between concept and material, where construction, deconstruction, and controlled instinctive gestures intertwine.

Informed by Braque’s Cubism, Malevich’s radicality, and Pollock’ s gestural energy, his practice oscillates between structure and expressiveness. His compositions combine minimal lines, geometric forms, and dream-like symbols drawn from academic subjects.

The application of a dense underlying material, a mixture of plaster and acrylic, allows the artist to manually engrave his forms, letting the motif emerge directly from the surface. This asserted physicality reveals a search for authenticity where structure, expressivity, and introspection converge.
