We were very happy to support artist and COCO COLLECTIVE - Ital Community Garden on their The Plants Travelled Too: A Community Harvest Food-Share event yesterday at their Ital Community Gardens in Bellingham.

🌿This beautiful gathering celebrated community, culture, and fresh, organic food. Many of the vibrant dishes—like jollof rice cooked over an open fire, pepper & BBQ chicken, egusi, dodo, moi moi, pounded iyan, puff puff, and a cheesecake with chin chin and hibiscus—were lovingly prepared by Coco Collective’s members using produce freshly picked from their gardens, including callaloo, squash, and courgette.

A special thank you to Lewisham Council for supporting this event as part of Black History Month 2026! 💛

DX Artist Weekender Spotlight - Khushboo

Khushboo is an artist and art educator, working across drawing, painting, and installation. Her practice explores themes of migration, belonging, decoloniality, and ecology through material exploration, tactility, and visual storytelling.

She holds an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London (2022–2024), supported by Inlaks Scholarship, a BVA in Painting from MSU Baroda (India), and a BSc in Zoology from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad, India. Her works have been exhibited and privately collected in India and the UK. Khushboo currently lives and works between London and Edinburgh.

DX Artist Weekender Spotlight - Paula Morison

Paula studied at University of Wales, Institute Cardiff from 2005-2008 and Slade School of Fine Art, London from 2017-2019. Morison’s work is conceptually led and uses a variety of media. Her research focuses on how humans try to exert perceived control over their existence and how an individual might navigate the systems put in place during this quest. She loves data and things that can be measured and recorded.

🧡 Join us on the 23 Sept for our Artist Meetup : Artists who Curate 

Our 2 guest speakers for the evening will be Lizzie Munn, an artist based in London, graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in 2024. Working across printmaking and installation her practice adopts analogue processes which distance the hand. And Kineret Lourie a London based artist and curator, operating through highly collaborative and performative exhibition making practice. She is the founder and director of chemist, an artist led gallery in SE London alongside Ariel Caine. Kineret also teaches at Goldsmiths in the fine art program.

Come to hear and share experiences with other artists who have curated projects.

✨️June Artist Meetup – Presentation Skills Workshop and Speed Networking Event

Led by guest workshop facilitator Whether you are introducing your work to curators, collaborators, funders, or new audiences, this workshop will provide practical tools to help you speak with clarity and confidence.

In the second half through a series of short conversations (speed networking), you can test out your new approaches, build confidence, and expand your creative network.

This is a supportive, safe space for both the audience and presenters.
