Always one of TAL’s most vibrant stands, Rob Temple’s display is a favourite meeting point for collectors, dealers and enthusiasts alike.

A longstanding TAL exhibitor, Belgian-based Rob specialises in ethnographic art, with a particular emphasis on African sculpture. His carefully selected collection is guided by a personal eye for objects with interesting stories, character and presence.

Alongside works from Africa, Rob’s wider collection encompasses pieces from Asia, bringing an engaging variety of cultures, materials and artistic traditions to his stand.

TAL is delighted to welcome back dealer Kenn Mackay Kenn Mackay

Kenn’s interest in ethnographic art began in the early 1980s while travelling extensively through Africa, Asia and South America. Having lived and worked in South America for many years, he developed a particular knowledge of Pre-Columbian art, alongside a wider appreciation for works from Africa, Oceania and Asia.

With more than 25 years of experience, Kenn is known for his discerning eye and commitment to authenticity, offering carefully selected pieces distinguished by their history, sculptural form and aesthetic appeal.

We’re delighted to welcome Andrew Seccombe to TAL 2026 29th Sept- 4th Oct taking place on the mezzanine of Evolution London alongside the autumn edition of Decorative Fair

Blighty Antiques’ selection of predominantly folk art, with a few pieces, traditionally described as ethnographic are brought together through a shared appreciation of objects made by hand, rooted in culture and rich in character.

We look forward to seeing how these different traditions come together and perhaps questioning some of the labels we have inherited along the way.

Joining us from Amsterdam this September is bringing a distinctive selection shaped by more than four decades of dealing and collecting.

Frans brings this Toraja Buffalo Hide Shield, South Sulawesi

Rare Balulang shield from the Toraja people of Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Made from buffalo hide and dating to the 19th century. The shield has a gently curved form and is decorated with a geometric pattern carved in relief with yellow, red, white, and black pigments.

Measuring 77 × 44 cm,

Frans has been active as a dealer since the 1980s, specialising in carefully selected ethnographic works from cultures around the world.

His wide-ranging collection has a particular strength in works from Indonesia and the wider Pacific, alongside material from New Guinea, Suriname, Amazonia, Southeast Asia, the Philippines and Africa. From Dayak sculpture and ikat textiles to Balinese paintings, beadwork, basketry and everyday objects, his collection reflects the extraordinary diversity of material culture represented at TAL.

We’re delighted to welcome back Diane Hall Diane Hall to TAL this September.

A dealer in non-Western art and antique textiles for over 35 years, Diane began her career at Butterfield & Butterfield in San Francisco before continuing her studies in London with SOAS and Sotheby’s.

Her early interests in Islamic, Indian and Japanese art evolved after settling in Brussels, where she developed a particular focus on fibre arts and beadwork from cultures around the world.

Over the course of her career, Diane has placed individual works and collections with museums internationally.

A specialist in African tribal art since the early 1990s, Bryan is known for his discerning eye for age, authenticity, provenance, form and patina. With decades of experience and a particular knowledge of East African art, he brings a carefully selected collection to the fair each year.

Tom Hurst has already established himself as an exciting young specialist in historic ethnographic art. Growing up around antiques, he began collecting from an early age before developing a particular passion for ethnographic works, today dealing in distinctive works from Africa, Oceania and beyond.

Tom brings a well developed eye and a genuine passion for the history and provenance of the objects he handles.
