Soft Touch Arts Our inclusive way of working helps young people who lack opportunities or have challenges in their lives to participate in positive creative activities.

A Leicester based charity, established in 1986, we use arts, media and music activities to inspire and engage young people and help them to develop creative, social and employability skills. We help them get back on track if things have gone wrong, try new things, build the confidence and resilience to change negative or risky behaviours, and progress to lead more fulfilling lives. Results Day comes with so much pressure, but grades only tell a tiny part of the story.

They don’t show the hard work, resilience, creativity, and character these young people show every single day. We couldn't be prouder of everything they’ve achieved this year — both inside and outside the classroom.

To all our local students: a massive well done from the whole team! 💛

Take a look at what our young people have been up to recently during our South Wigston Street Sessions!

It was a fantastic turnout. The young people threw themselves into graffiti art activities, designing unique characters and mastering spray techniques. Beyond visual arts, they also experimented with digital beat-making and even tried out some karaoke.

These sessions give young people a safe, welcoming space to learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with their peers.

Is "eco-friendly" just the new corporate trend? Let's talk.

A snippet from one of the panel talks at Radical Hope Eco Fest, exposing how big brands use "sustainability" and new tech as a trend to keep us consuming.

Greenwashing is at an all-time high, and buying "green" products won't fix a system built on constant consumption.

Because one video wasn't enough 🩷

What made last Saturday so special was the incredible sense of community. Overcoming climate doomism doesn't always have to be loud – sometimes it just needs to be accessible.

Through hands-on creative workshops, powerful on-stage performances, and casual chats with local eco-warriors actually doing the work, we all left feeling a little lighter and a lot more hopeful.

Radical Hope 2026 was pure joy. We hope we didn't just spotlight Leicester’s thriving green community, but also sparked a reminder that action and joy go hand-in-hand.
